Business Development Manager

Innovation in Life are specialists in Research and Development (R&D) tax. Our team has extensive experience and expertise in this field, assisting businesses with the entire process of claiming the Government’s HMRC R&D Tax Credits/Refunds. Established in 2019 our main office hub is located in London; however, we work nationally providing our services.

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in the success and development of the sales team. This role is a hybrid management and front-line sales position, responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle, whilst aiding with the day-to-day management and growth of the current team. You’ll be expected to develop a sustainable new business pipeline, deliver against revenue targets whilst also building successful stakeholder relationships internal.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·        Maintain and develop relationships with C-Suite level clients in person and via telephone calls and emails.

·        Work with the Director of Sales to help establish a coherent and lasting sales strategy to drive sales and overachieve against set deliverables.

·        Maintain up to date market knowledge, including sector knowledge and competitor activity.

·        Keeping a breast of both company and industry research, market trends, best practices and sharing insight, knowledge, and management information with both the sales team and wider business.

·        Keeping up to date with the service offerings as well as building relationships with key stakeholders internally & externally.

·        Achieving growth and hitting sales targets including achieving both individual and team KPIs.

Requirements:

·        Proven track record of sales in professional services or as a minimum a complex high value B2B environment

·        Demonstrated evidence of closing a number of significant clients deals with large corporates in relevant sectors  

·        Extremely confident dealing at board level and has a creative, professional, and forward-thinking approach

·        Strong knowledge of sales methodologies/ processes

·        Experience of people management and developing individuals/ teams
